FREE Gospel Tract Wallet

Published by Jim Bray

A vinyl checkbook cover, which you can get free from just about any bank, makes an excellent “Tract Wallet” to carry your “daily dozen” tracts in your pocket or purse for quick access each time you see an opportunity to give one out. This tract wallet will allow men to always carry tracts with them in their pocket. It will allow women to always have tracts with them in their purses and keep them in good condition, even if their purses get “overstuffed” at times! Each side of the tract wallet holds 5–6 Gospel tracts. Your tract wallet is the “fishing pole” you need to “cast out” God’s Word that’s essential in catching “souls for Jesus”! If you follow Christ and others as “fishers of men”, then “go ye into all” your world both “pre-prayed” and prepared!

County Fair “Gospel Truth Booth”

Published by Jim Bray

The other day we received this note from Pastor Hansen in Tualatin, Oregon.
Gospel Truth Booth

Hi Jim,
I have told you before in previous conversations how well your tract fits in the work we are doing at the Washington County Fair where we have what we call a Gospel Truth Booth. We are currently in the middle of that annual event. It will end Sunday night. It extends from Thursday through Sunday from 10:00AM to 11:00PM each day. Attendance at the fair runs over half a million people. Our booth is located close to the main entrance and adjacent to the food vendors. Needless to say, many people pass by our way. It is marketplace evangelism where the people come to you at the booth rather than you going to them as you would in “door-to-door” visitation. We will put out over 1000 of your tracts in four days, and they fit very nicely into the theme we have on the back wall of our booth. I normally start by introducing people to our “three doors” centerpiece which is entitled “Three things God cannot do.” That draws their attention. Door one states that “God cannot lie”; door two states that “God cannot change.” They all agree to those two statements. Then they go to door three that states “God cannot ignore sin.” From there, I will point to the backdrop banner and ask them, “How sure are you about going to Heaven? 100% sure, 75% sure, 50% sure?” I follow that up with a brief explanation of the plan of salvation and hand them one of your tracts. In four years of doing this, I have never seen one tract on the ground or in the trash. That’s because they are the ones asking for more information and the tract; we are not forcing it on them as might happen in tract distribution. We do not promote the church, although we have our address on the back. We promote Jesus Christ and His eternal gift through our blessed Lord Jesus Christ. I just thought you might be interested. Thanks for your tract. Only in Glory will we find the full impact of what you have designed.

Street Evangelism

Published by Jim Bray

We also received this note from Pastor Hansen in Tualatin, Oregon.

Here is another ministry that we use your tract exclusively for. We call it “Street Evangelism.” It is a ministry to the “homeless” in downtown Portland, Oregon. Once a month on a Saturday morning, we take our church bus to downtown Portland, which has many “homeless” people. We just want to give them sandwiches, water and coffee, and needed clothing such as socks, caps, coats, blankets, etc. It’s surprising what businesses will give in support of such a venture. We have a dentist office in Tualatin that donates tooth brushes and toothpaste, for example. A restaurant donates coffee. Most importantly, we want to give them God’s Word. That is where your tract comes in. It’s perfect for this type of ministry. I have attached a photo of our team in Portland with our cart that we transport on the bus, ready to get started. Thought you might be interested.

Sincerely for the cause of Christ,

Pastor Gil Hansen, Sr.

Foreign Missionary? Print Our Tracts Yourself

Published by Jim Bray

Missionaries in foreign countries wanting a very large quantity of our tracts can save the high cost of shipping them from the U.S. Contact us first and then make a small payment to receive:

  1. Permission to print a specific quantity there in your country, and
  2. The password necessary to download the printable files.

For 10,000 tracts or more, it’s probably much less expensive to receive permission to reprint the tract in your country and save a lot of money by not having to pay shipping or handling charges. Even if you feel you can’t afford or don’t need 10,000 tracts yourself, you could contact other missionaries about all of you going in together and splitting the cost of printing 10,000 or more tracts at a printer right there in your own country. (Example: If five missionaries wanted 2,000 tracts each, they could agree to go in together to print 10,000 tracts and split the cost between the five of them. Then they’d save a lot of money by not having to pay the normal shipping and handling fee to have the tracts shipped to them from the U.S.) However, for less than 10,000 tracts, it’s probably less expensive to have already-printed tracts shipped to you from the U.S.

The tract is available in English and Spanish. For any other language translation, you may contact us to request permission for any Independent Baptist missionary to make a translation into your country’s language. Then he can receive the permission and password to print a specific number of the tracts there.

Gospel Tract Soulwinning

Jim Bray, The Power of the Word: www.thepoweroftheword.com

Everyday, if we obey God’s “Great Commission” given to each of us, we need to be concerned about and looking for opportunities to give the gospel message to the lost all around us–at our front door, our mail box, the store, bank, gas station or wherever our daily or weekly routine takes us. While there are other good methods of personal evangelism and soul winning, there is no quicker or easier method of soulwinning than the daily distribution of Gospel tracts!

First, it is truly the quickest method of personal soulwinning because it literally takes only seconds to do, and that’s very important! Why? Sometimes, though we might have the time to sit down with someone and go through the plan of salvation with them, they don’t have the time. At other times it’s the other way around, when they have the time, but we don’t. But probably most of the time, neither they nor we have the time right then to sit down and go through the Gospel message together. Therefore, in our very busy routines in this very fast-paced world, passing out gospel tracts to people all around us is probably the very best solution to this time problem of getting the salvation message to others who are in a hurry. It only takes 10 seconds to hand someone a tract and ask them to read it, but that 10 seconds could make the difference for them between life and death, and between Heaven and Hell! (As a matter of fact, “it only takes 10 seconds” just might be an excellent theme for a soulwinning conference at your church sometime!) If we don’t carry gospel tracts with us daily wherever we go, we probably will walk right on by unsaved people without having time to give them the Gospel message or to even think about their need. So tracts can greatly help us carry out God’s “Great Commission” everyday! They’re like “little preachers” that always have the time to present the salvation message to people we meet when we’re in a hurry and don’t have the time to talk with them right then. Also, tracts are always willing to wait as long as necessary till those people who didn’t have time to listen to us before finally have the time later on to sit down and read the tracts at their convenience, and as the Holy Spirit convicts and reminds them later to read!

Second, it is truly the easiest method of personal soulwinning because any believer, even a brand new convert, can do it, even if they haven’t yet memorized the references for all the salvation verses. Even believers who tend to be shy or nervous when talking to others (especially about salvation) can very easily hand a person a tract and simply ask if they would read it. We need to have soulwinning churches today and see them grow numerically by being filled with new believers, and nothing will add new converts to churches quicker than having their members active in daily soulwinning and passing out tracts everywhere they go. Certainly, there’s no quicker or easier way for believers to witness to others and reach the most people in the least amount of time than by always carrying tracts with them and passing them out wherever they go.

Of course, we should not only obey the “Go ye” of the Great Commission, but before we “go”, we should know that we’re prepared as “fishers of men” with gospel tracts in our pockets or purses! Before we go as fishers of fish, should we be prepared by taking our pole with us? Well, of course! Then before we go as “fishers of men”, it’s even more important that we be prepared by taking our tracts with us! We wouldn’t think of being unprepared by going anywhere without our money wallet for financial reasons. Then we certainly shouldn’t think of being unprepared by going anywhere without our “tract wallet” for soulwinning reasons! Remember: “don’t leave home without it!” “Go ye” – prepared!
